Glenn A. Jakober was Chief Financial Officer at the Dakota Midland Hospital from 1972-1988 and later served as the director of budget and reimbursement at Avera St. Luke’s from 1988-2012. He was in the Vietnam War and worked as an Aviation Electronics Technician in the U.S. Navy and received an E5 Metal. He is a Lifetime Member of the Healthcare Financial Management and has received a Chamber Award at Aberdeen. He was a Ducks Unlimited Lifetime Sponsored Member in 2018. He received the George Award from the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce in 2008 and the Book of Good Deeds Award from the Aberdeen Exchange Club in 2013. He earned a bachelor’s in business with a minor in Industrial Arts at Northern State University. Mr. Jakober is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Member of Kiwanis International Club which teamed up with Unicef to eliminate neonatal tetanus in underdeveloped countries.
